High tide in Bude yesterday afternoon viewed from Summerleaze, The Strand, Nanny Moore’s and Crooklets. The water was overtopping at points along the Strand, including the bus shelter, and close to the Bencoolen recreation centre.
Some intrepid surfers were out. There was definitely no scope for river surfing as the arches of Nanny Moore’s Bridge were filled!
Spectacular to watch the power of nature, though the water quality looked none too pretty.
