Just a quick shout out for this fundraiser … this is adapted from the Crowdfunding page. Allan has so far raised 74% of his target but more is needed – and welcome.

Anyone who knows Allan Gouldson will know what an amazing man he is, a true inspiration.

Diagnosed with Motor Neurone Disease (MND), an uncommon condition affecting the brain and nerves, on 17th June 2014, the prognosis was not good; so far, Allan has not let that stop him. Now, MND is making its presence felt, and Allan recently lost the ability to use his legs, so relies on his wonderful wife Kim and a team of carers to help him be as independent as possible.

It causes him real discomfort to sit in the wheelchair for extended periods and this makes those vital trips out which enhance mental health, much more difficult. It is important to Allan to stay as positive as possible however and make as much of a difference as he possibly can.

With this in mind he has launched …

Allan and Kim Gouldson

Challenge Allan 😁

It started on 2nd August. The idea is that while a day out might be easy for many of us, Allan, who finds it much more difficult, plans to visit a variety of places which spell out two charities he holds close to his heart.

Allan can no longer stay away overnight and so his challenge is limited to Cornwall and Devon.

His causes are: Animal Free Research UK (Bude Group) and MND (Cornwall)

He will therefore visit:

Arlington Court

Fingle Bridge

Rosemoor

Upper Tamar Lake

Kernow (mystery tour!) – any ideas?

and

Merton

Norton Barton Brewery

Dingles
