A woman with serious multiple injuries to her chest and neck remains in hospital after a suspected stabbing, according to local media.

The SW ambulance service was called to a property at the award-winning holiday cottages at Whalesborough, in Marhamchurch, shortly after 1am on Tuesday of this week.

A 39-year-old man from Weymouth in Dorset was arrested on suspicion of a Section 18 assault causing grievous bodily harm.
