Local girl, Meredith Rosser, decided that she wanted to chop her very long hair off, which is a very brave thing to do.

So her Mum, Sheridon, asked her if she would like to really chop it off and, if so, to be able to do something useful with it.

She did, having between 10-15 inches chopped off (the cut donated by Cole’s Hair at Hannah Woodgate’s salon).

So, Meredith is fundraising for The Little Princess Trust, which provides real hair wigs, free of charge, to children and young people who have lost their own hair through cancer treatment or to other conditions such as alopecia.

The charity is also one of the largest funders of childhood cancer research in the UK.

You can find the link to support Meredith (who would like to raise enough to pay for a new wig for the charity) here. Her aim is to raise £550 and she has so far raised a cool £238 of this, so please give generously to bring her up to target if you can.

The Little Princess Trust relies solely on the generosity of its wonderful supporters who help the charity give Hair and Hope to so many children and young people with cancer each year.

Think you will all agree that Meredith has done a lovely thing and is looking amazing with her new short hair. Well done, Meredith.
