Bude Library is an amazing place: you can sit and read or work in there, borrow books from the shelves, request books from other Cornwall libraries, use the computers, use the children’s library and try out the activities, and much, much more.
So, if you can’t get there for any reason, how can you benefit?
Well, the Home Library service is exactly as it sounds – bringing the local library into people’s homes. Volunteers bring a carefully chosen selection of books and audio books to those who (for whatever reason) are less mobile, or who find it difficult to get to the library. Sometimes, they offers films and music too, all based on your likes.

The service doesn’t just deliver entertainment and mental stimulation, as important as both of those things are. It also offers a friendly face, a chance to chat and some very welcome social interaction for people who can’t get out as much as they’d like.
If you or someone you know would benefit from this service, so contact the library on 01288 352954 or email bude.library@liscornwall.org.uk
Volunteers are also needed for this service, so if interested, please contact the library using the above details.
