Sunday 5th March at 5pm sees the annual St Piran’s Day walk in Bude. Meet at Bude Surf Life Saving Club for a walk along the cliffs to Summerleaze and back, led by a piper. Tea and biscuits are available at the club, and Bude Barrel Morris Dancers will be performing. The celebrations continue with beer and pasties, a Cornish singalong and the Trelawny Shout at 9pm.
Alternative evening entertainment is at the Brendon Arms, where The Bencoolen Wreckers are singing for the St Piran’s Day Shout and handing out some of the money collected for charities during the evening.
One donation is for Ukraine. Deacon Debs and her Ukrainian friend will be going along to receive their cheque. If you fancy an evening of shanties and Cornish songs, the singing from 7.30pm with the presentation around 8.15pm prior to Trelawny at 9pm!
