Well done to the Castle Heritage Centre, which won a special award at the Cornwall Heritage Awards on February 8th.

The ‘Spirit of the Awards’ is awarded by judges to an organisation that they feel most encapsulates the spirit of the Cornwall Heritage awards: a commitment to excellence in heritage, environmental sustainability and inclusion.

The Castle was also highly commended in the Collaboration and Object of the Year categories.

The Castle was judged against other larger museums in Cornwall and the award was accepted at the ceremony by Heritage Development Officer, Janine King
