On Christmas Eve afternoon, Bude’s firefighters were busy as two appliances from Bude and one from Holsworthy were called out to a shed fire in Stratton.
The shed measured approx 10m by 15m, so further resources were requested. Appliances from Delabole, St Austell and Launceston were mobilised.
Firefighters eventually returned to base very late into the evening.

By the black smoke visible from hollabury, there must have been lots of rubber and other noxious material stored there; the pollution emitted into the environment was colossal.
