Given the icy conditions recently, it is probably a relief for many that for the Christmas Day swim temperatures are set to rise again.

The Surf Life Saving Club has announced:

The Christmas swim has always been the club’s bigger fundraiser and has helped to grow and evolve the club into what it is today.

With the current climate we are living in times are tough for many people, so if you are able to give we are so appreciative, but understand that many are unable to. Over the years the swim has grown and has become more than just a club fundraiser, it is now ingrained into our community and has become a tradition for so many.

With everything going on in the world over the last few years the importance of community has been highlighted and essentially we just want people there; to celebrate with their loved ones, embrace the beautiful place many of us are lucky to call home, have a mulled wine (or 2), spread the Christmas cheer & for those who are willing to brave it…jump in the sea.

There will be Christmas swim merchandise available to buy on the day with all funds going to the club & also free hot choc & mulled wine to warm up all the swimmers and to keep the spectators toasty.
