Well, despite the yellow warning, I wasn’t expecting to be woken by ice hitting my window, and later thunder and lightning/power cuts. Nor was I set up for the snowy scene which greeted me when I finally got up.
It seems there is little in Bude, but just across the border into Devon, with untreated icy and snowy roads. Take care out there. Hartland Quay Hotel, Clovelly and The Milky Way are all closed due to snow and ice making conditions dangerous …
