The Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning today as the side-effects of Storm Miguel hit Cornwall and other parts of the country. In Bude, rain should reduce ever so slightly, but heavy thundery showers may cause some travel disruption. Thunderstorms are due later any time between 2 pm and 11 pm which may mean:
- Some flooding of a few homes and businesses likely, leading to some damage to buildings or structures
- Spray and flooding on roads probably making journey times longer
- Bus and train services probably affected with journey times taking longer
- Some interruption to power supplies and other services likely
The weather forecast into next week isn’t very summery, to be honest. Batten down the hatches and get the wellies out.
