The Met Office is warning of a change in the weather in the SW including Devon and Cornwall. Snow and ice are expected between 12 noon and 11 am on Wednesday. A yellow warning is not severe but make sure you are prepared especially if driving on untreated rural rounds or on the hills. I can’t see it being like the featured photo (famous last words)
Between 12:00 Tue 29th and 11:00 Wed 30th
Rain turning to snow, especially on hills, then turning icy.
What to expect
- Some roads and railways likely to be affected with longer journey times by road, bus and train services
- Some injuries from slips and falls on icy surfaces
- Probably some ice on some untreated roads, pavements and cycle paths
