Witnesses sought for crash which killed 2 young men

Police are appealing for witnesses of a road traffic collision near St Austell on Sunday 20 September, during which two young men died.

The incident occurred at around 3.50pm on Sunday 20 September on the B3279, Goverseth Hill, Foxhole, St Austell, and involved a blue Vauxhall Corsa and a black Jaguar F-Pace.

Two occupants of the Corsa, a 16-year-old boy and a 28-year-old man, both from St Austell, sadly died from their injuries. A third occupant, a 16-year-old boy, also from St Austell, remains in a critical but stable condition in hospital.

The occupant of the Jaguar, a man in his 50s, sustained minor injuries.

Police officers from St Austell and the Alliance Roads Policing Team attended, alongside Cornwall Fire and Rescue Service, ambulance and Cornwall Air Ambulance crews. The road was closed for around seven hours.
