Weather warning for SW

The Met Office says outbreaks of rain and snow are likely to spread erratically east during Thursday night, bringing some small snow accumulations and icy patches, before conditions improve during Friday morning as temperatures rise and rain and snow eases.

Snow will fall inland, with accumulations of 1-3 cm in places, most likely over Dartmoor and Bodmin Moor.

Rain is more likely in coastal areas and more generally across western Cornwall.

Some places may remain largely dry, but where rain, sleet and snow falls onto frozen surfaces, icy stretches are likely to form.
