Last weekend saw the welcome return of RHS Rosemoor’s Vintage Weekend. This year had a much higher attendance than the previous one, perhaps due to so many of us wanting to get out and about again after the past 18 months of Covid-19 restrictions.
The weather behaved itself thankfully and it was good to see so many families, couples, friends and individuals enjoying the delights of RHS Rosemoor along with the added attraction of the Vintage Weekend.
The event included a varied and interesting display of cars, bikes and other modes of transport, 1940’s musical entertainment with the opportunity to put on your dancing shoes plus a Punch and Judy Show for all the family. There was also a WW2 Camp re-enactment as well as a Vintage Craft Fair.
The gardens themselves were looking wonderful as they always do in the summer months and it’s the perfect place to enjoy a couple of hours just walking around admiring the flower beds and individual garden areas. I feel so lucky to have this garden just a 40 minute drive away and make the most of my RHS membership by visiting it as often as I can.
The next weekend event is the Garden Flower Show from Friday 13th – Sunday 15th August.
