Upper River Tamar – Tamarstone to Druxton Bridge

Flooding is possible this evening, Sunday 4th October, and into Monday morning.

Persistent rain has caused river levels to rise throughout the day and a further 20-30mm of rain is expected this evening. River levels on the Tamar at Tamarstone Bridge and on the Rivers Strat and Neet are high and continue to rise.nProperty flooding is possible at Bridegrule from early evening. Highway flooding is also likely on the A3072 between Holsworthy and Red Post, and between North Tamerton and Clawton.

The river level is expected to peak at around 9pm and could remain high for several hours afterwards. We expect the river level to drop gradually in the early hours of the morning as the rainfall becomes lighter and more showery. Flood waters may be deep and fast flowing in these areas. Residents are strongly urged to take action now. Remain safe and be aware of your local surroundings.

Flood warnings have been issued and further warnings may be required.
