Two teenagers seriously injured in A38 collision

At approximately 1.34pm  on Sunday 17th June 2018, a single vehicle collision occurred at Moorswater on the slip to the A38 westbound at Liskeard.

A green coloured Ford Fiesta driven by an 18-year-old male from the Wadebridge area left the carriageway and collided with a tree.

The front seat passenger was an 18 year old female from the Liskeard area. Both casualties were conveyed by ambulance to Derriford Hospital.  The female received head and shoulder injuries and is in a stable condition but sadly the male has received life-threatening head and chest injuries and is currently in the intensive care unit.

A full forensic examination took place of the scene with the slip road being closed for several hours.

Police from the Roads Policing Team are appealing for witnesses to this incident to contact them on telephone number 101 quoting log number 431 of 17th June 2018
