Two-minute silence on commemoration of VE Day

If you have any VE Day commemoration events (socially distanced or virtual) do let us know.

Meanwhile, Union Flags will fly at full-mast on UK Government buildings and the UK will observe a two-minute silence on Friday 8 May to mark the 75th anniversary of the end of the Second World War in Europe.

The two-minute silence will be held on Friday 8 May at 11 am (UK time), to remember and thank those who fought for our freedom.

The silence will be marked by all Government departments. Other organisations are invited to follow suit if they wish.
