It was won by Trev of Trev’s Taxi and, being a generous soul who couldn’t eat it all himself, Trev offered to share it, and Rosie’s cafe agreed to let us use their premises – and crockery – to eat it!! Some of us even tried to be posh and use a fork for the job!
Well, that’s the kind of offer I rarely refuse: good company, a trip to Rosie’s Kitchen, again, and some fabulous cake, plus a chance to have some of Ali’s stunning macarons hand delivered.
Also got the chance for a lovely cuddle with the latest addition to Ali’s family, baby Noah, who was a very happy little chap and quite unperturbed at being held by me! These five children have obviously paid off!
So, thanks to Ali for baking and allowing a ‘hand him back at the end’ cuddle, to Trev for sharing so generously, to Rosie’s for hosting, and to all the interesting folk who turned up, including Horace and, of course, Debbie Cousins…photographer for the day!!
A good and highly calorific time was had by all but the good news was that we were eating local goodies, hand made (with love) in Cornwall with the kind of ingredients you’d use at home…..you can also buy a piece of similar cake in Rosie’s….
