Town council cancels in person public consultation meeting

From Bude & Stratton Council:

After great consideration, the Council has decided, due to the significant rise again in Covid cases locally, that an in-person meeting at this time could have the potential to contribute to the rise.

For the safety and benefit of our community this consultation will be conducted online and paper based, giving everyone the opportunity to have their say in a safe way.

We will not be looking to hold an in person consultation in the coming weeks.

To clarify – there are no plans to build on the downs – this consultation is to discuss the current uses and users needs of the downs.

Further information will be released this week on how you can still have your say on this important subject.

We apologise for the inconvenience but hope you will understand the decision made.

So far as we are aware, other events, such as Christmas fairs, have not currently been cancelled.  We will update you on any future changes made.
