Community Action Through Sport (CATS) is looking for nominations of young people who volunteer up their free time to help others.
If you know someone aged between five and 19 years old who you think is worthy of recognition for their volunteering, whether it’s helping out at an old people’s home, picking up litter or setting up a youth club, we want to hear from you!
CATS is a scheme that recognises young people within the Torridge District who have volunteered their personal time to the benefit of the community. This positive action is then recognised with sports or healthy living rewards.
The Torridge CATS branch consists of representatives from a wide array of specialist areas such as schools, the Police, Torridge District Council, youth groups and services, sports providers, sports clubs and much more. It is the role of the branch to select the top nominations worthy of recognition across five different categories and reward them accordingly depending upon the level of volunteering that was undertaken.
The winners will be selected by the panel and presented with an award at a ceremony in June.
