Tiny kitten rescued from drain

A tiny kitten trapped in a drain on a busy road (the B3262, Hallworthy, between Davidstow/Launceston) was rescued by the Fire Service this week. The callers stopped to make sure the kitten was safe until Fire Crews arrived.

Two appliances were mobilised from Delabole to this incident. One crew carried out the rescue of the kitten and one crew carried out traffic management to keep the crew safe while they performed the rescue. The crew used their hose inflation kit to retrieve the kitten from the drain.

The kitten was then taken by the members of the public who discovered it to a local vets to be checked over.
