Robin Ross at Freewave Surf Academy is proud to deliver a range of Surf Life Saving Awards that will enable you to seek employment in the outdoor and rescue industry all over the world.
Based in Bude, Cornwall, trainees are lucky to have access to a unique set of training areas. A 93 meter open air swimming pool, an indoor pool (with waves), a breakwater bay, open beaches, harbour and canal and don’t forget the classroom! These areas allow each candidate to learn, practice and refine their skills giving them everything they need to succeed and become a qualified Surf/Beach Lifeguard. It includes guidance on how to apply for jobs in the industry.
The SLSGB Surf Lifeguard Award is an internationally recognised award. It is the highest British lifeguarding standard and is the preferred qualification for many industry professionals such as the RNLI. A Surf/Beach Lifeguard Award is an essential qualification for Lifeguarding, Surf Coaching, Coasteering and for taking groups of people in and around the sea.
The SLSGB Surf Lifeguard Award is delivered over 5 days with 1 day for an assessment to take place. The courses compromises of several assessments, some of which can be taken through the duration of the training and some on a final assessment day.
