The Frog goes surfin’ to Stratton Hospital

On Friday, The Surfin’ Frog successfully delivered two large trays of beef stew, one of bean casserole for the veggies, and a large number of iced buns to NHS staff at Stratton Hospital.

Arthur from the restaurant says:

In all plenty to feed 30 or so NHS staff. The hospital were very grateful and we’ll do it once a week going forward (on a Friday). Food donations for this enterprise remain very welcome.

This week we hope to deliver a similar mix – possibly Lamb curry and rice, or maybe a Malaysian Laksa, or fish pie – depends on what we can get at a sensible price, or what people donate….and we’ll do something sweet as well!

On another matter, we’ve decided not to offer take-away food from the restaurant as we want to protect staff and customers as much as possible, but have decided to offer a limited delivery service to Bude & surrounding areas (Thursday, Friday, Saturday from 5 pm – 9 pm).  We’ve updated our website to reflect this, and the menu is also shown there.

Delivery service:

During the current Coronavirus restrictions, The Surfin’ Frog is offering a limited home-delivery service to Bude and surrounding areas, to include Kilkhampton, Marhamchurch and Red Post. They say:

We’ve decided not to offer a take-away service so as to limit the risks to staff and customers alike.

See our delivery menu on the menu page of the website.

The delivery service is available Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings from 5 pm until 9 pm (last orders by 8.30 pm). Please telephone 01288 350059 to place your order.

Advance card payments only at the time of order.  Thanks to you all for supporting us during this difficult time and we hope to see you all again when things return to normal.
