Mum and Daughter in Car Roof Rescue

At around 7.15pm last night fire crews from Hatherleigh, Torrington and the Specialist Rescue Team from Barnstaple were called to Sheepwash Bridge on the river Torridge to assist a mother and daughter trapped on the roof of their car in rising flood water. Their car had been washed off a bridge by flood water and swept downstream.
