Supermarkets helping the local community

Sainsbury’s in Bude has agreed to supply The Surfin’ Frog with all ingredients for their weekly free meals to the NHS staff in Bude-Stratton hospital.

Also, they are going to donate what they can for other ready meals which the restaurant can prepare for distribution to those most in need. Sainsbury’s already contribute food to the food bank, so this is a great example of their willingness to help the local community rally round in a time of need.

Morrisons are also supporting the NHS. They are, for the next 12 weeks, giving NHS workers 10% discount on their shopping when they show their NHS ID card at the till. They are also delivering food boxes to NHS car parks for staff leaving their shift, and providing food for food banks.
