Around parts of the coast, people have been getting into bother watching big waves. Here’s an example from Torbay which led to a Coastguard warning.
Water is capable of knocking you off your feet, and also tends to hurl large rocks around. Off the Kent coast, a body has been found of a man who had fallen from a fuel tanker that had been anchored overnight in the harbour. Seas were very rough. In the last hour, Bude Fire Service was also out on a shout to help rescue an elderly man from his car trapped in water.
