In what is the largest cohort in the increasingly popular Budehaven Community School, year 7s have started their secondary education with a smart new uniform which has been introduced this autumn across all year groups.
Headteacher, Tracey Reynolds, has been talking to the new students, saying:
“They have told me that they have enjoyed their first week, that they have walked much more than they thought they would, and their lessons have been very interesting. They are getting used to tying their ties and have liked their school lunches.”
“All our students from Year 7 to 10 are wearing their new uniform with pride. They are certainly walking tall and look ready to learn. We have received comments from the public who have told us that they have never seen our students looking so smart. So, a big thank you to all parents and carers for working with us to make this happen.”
Ket changes are:
- Grey smart tailored trousers or shorts.
- Grey Pleat style skirt.
- School Jacket embroidered with crest.
- Light blue school shirt or blouse. Long or short sleeved.
- Optional V-Neck jumper embroidered with the Budehaven crest.
Meanwhile, at the other end of the school, the sixth form, numbers have also risen.
Director of Sixth Form, Matt White, says:
“Our sixth form continues to grow, and now stand at over 180. We are still enrolling new students, so if you would like to study ‘A’ levels and have not yet made your decision, it’s not too late to join a really successful sixth form at Budehaven”.
