Signs of businesses adapting for the new ‘normal’

Good to see Bude’s businesses adapting. As much as I miss Bellini’s tiny cafe, it was inspired-thinking to deal with the needs of social distancing by focusing on the ‘local-produce’ deli, which has been highly successful during lockdowns.

Today, after popping to the library, I headed for the beach and noticed a new venture for the Lock Gates Cafe – what a great idea because pizza by/on the beach surely has to be successful. Pre-ordering is another good idea for a pizza-charged sunset. Barista coffees and Cornish pasties are also on offer. Easy to eat food.

If any other businesses have adapted to suit the new ‘normal’, so please let us know. Email is, add a comment to the website or use the ‘submit your news’ button (top right).
