Emergency services are at the scene of a serious incident in North Devon.
Police were called at around 7.45am following reports of a collision between a tipper truck and a pedestrian, believed to be a woman in her 50s.
Air ambulance is in attendance and there are currently closures on the A39 including at Westleigh, at Roundswell Roundabout and the Instow turn off to allow emergency services to work at the scene.
Closures are expected to remain in place for the foreseeable future and road users are advised to avoid the area.

Currently, the A39 at Roundswell, A39 both ways closed for accident investigation work from the A3125 (Roundswell Roundabout, Roundswell) to B3233 (Instow Turn Off, Bideford). There is congestion to the B3233 through Instow, Fremington and Bickington with traffic very slow through these areas.
