Serious collision near Portreath

From Devon & Cornwall Police:

At approximately 2.50 pm yesterday, Police received a report of a single-vehicle road traffic collision where a car had rolled on the B3301 close to Hells Mouth near Portreath.

The female driver of the vehicle was trapped by the vehicle and required extracting by fire and ambulance. She was airlifted to hospital where she is being treated for serious and potentially life-changing injuries. There was also a young child in the vehicle who was taken to hospital for precautionary checks but later released. The road was closed in both directions whilst the scene was examined.

Officers from the Alliance Roads Policing Team attended and are appealing for witnesses who may have seen the collision, or have dash camera footage, to contact police on Tel: 101 quoting the log number 552 31/05/20.
