Serious collision A30 Exeter

From Devon & Cornwall Police:

Police were informed at around 12:25 today (Monday 26 March) of a pedestrian who was changing the tyre on a vehicle having been hit by a passing Renault van, on the A30 Alphington, Exeter.

Ambulance are in attendance and the air ambulance has also been scrambled.

The road will be closed in both directions to allow the air ambulance to land, including the M5 at junction 31 near Exminster.

This appears to be a serious incident and we ask that road users seek alternative routes for the foreseeable future.
