I know if you live in Bude you often have to travel to work, and for other reasons. So, if you’ve been on the A39 near Truro early this morning, you will be aware of a nasty collision which has closed the road. Police investigating the serious road traffic collision are appealing for witnesses.
The collision involving two cars happened shortly before 4.50am on Wednesday 4 November at Perranarworthal, between the Norway Inn and Devoran. Fire and ambulance were also called to assist.
Three men have been seriously injured and two have been taken to the Royal Cornwall Hospital, Treliske. The road has been closed and is not expected to reopen until midday. Drivers are asked to avoid the area for the time being. Highways are assisting with the road closure and the serious collisions unit investigators are carrying out a forensic examination of the scene.
