Thanks to Mary Hallett for sharing this piece of reporting – please tell us if you know what it is:
While doing a beach clean with the WI this morning we came across a large piece of ironwork which has been exposed on Summerleaze beach.
It is near the recently exposed plastic tarpaulin which the Environment Agency has been involved with. The object looks like a section upside down railway-track. It is about 12-14ft long and 3ft wide. It has two parallel “rails” and seven “sleepers”. It is too big for our beach clean party to tackle but it did provide us with lots of discussion as to what it may be. Does anyone know what it is?
