Robbery at Newquay

Police have launched an investigation following reports of a knife-point robbery which happened at around midnight on Wednesday 11 December in Newquay.

A man entered the Premier Express store on Linden Avenue armed with a knife. He went behind the till where he threatened the cashier and demanded the contents of the till which he took. He then grabbed two bottles of brandy before leaving the store on foot.

The man is described as male, 5ft 10ins tall, of a medium build, with brown eyes and black eye brows. He was wearing a scarf/bandana concealing his face.

He was also wearing a hooded olive green raincoat with white trim and spoke with a broad Liverpudlian accent.

Police carried out an immediate search for the suspect. Enquiries and searches currently remain ongoing.
