Cornwall Live kindly covers court hearings and has picked up on three cases pertaining to Bude area recently.
- A young person (19) in Bude was found to be in possession of cocaine. Also, possession of cannabis, ketamine and resisting a PC.
He was fined £120, and is to pay a surcharge to fund victim services of £32, costs of £85 to the Crown Prosecution Service, and compensation of £200.
2. On July 1, a woman in her thirties in Bude drove on Stratton Primary School car park while over the drink drive limit. She was fined £120, surcharged to fund victim services of £34, charged costs of £85 to the Crown Prosecution Service and disqualified from holding or obtaining a driving licence for three years.
3. In another case, a man on April 5 in Bude stole a bottle of Smirnoff vodka worth £20 belonging to Co-Op. On June 1 in Bude, he drove on Silverton Road while disqualified.
He was committed to prison for seven weeks, and ordered to pay compensation of £20. He had to ay a surcharge to fund victim services of £128, and was disqualified for holding or obtaining a driving licence for 13 months.
