Information gleaned from National Rail’s twitter account, there are a few delays on the trains as Callum causes concern.
A tree is blocking the railway between Bere Alston and Bere Ferrers. As a result, trains are currently at a stand, and all journeys between Plymouth and Gunnislake may be cancelled or delayed by up to 60 minutes. Normal service is expected to resume by 16:30.
Exeter St Davids – Paignton / Plymouth / Penzance
All train services will run at a reduced speed on routes between Plymouth and Penzance extending journey times by up to 20 minutes.
CrossCountry services between Exeter St Davids and Paignton / Plymouth have resumed, having been suspended; however, services may still be cancelled, owing to waves predicted to be overtopping the exposed sea wall at Dawlish. Once again we see the vulnerability of the Dawlish line.
