RAF Association – Can YOU help?

The Royal Air Forces Association, (RAFA) is a member led charity, which actively looks after the welfare of the RAF family. They give help in times of need to everyone who serves, or has served in the RAF, and their dependants.

The RAFA are urgently looking for individuals to volunteer as Befrienders in and around the Bude area. This role directly helps someone in YOUR community who may feel lonely or isolated. By visiting them and finding ways to connect them to others with shared interests, or providing signposting to relevant support services, you can enrich their lives by helping them become part of the community. Many ex-service personnel struggle on leaving the forces, moving from a fully supportive environment to being totally on their own. Please help.

The role is varied and immediately rewarding, with full training provided.

If you are able to spare some time and would like to volunteer, please contact Lucie Paddison, the RAFA Area Volunteer Coordinator for the Wales, Midland & South Western Area.
