Public consultation on proposed decking at Bude North Cornwall Cricket Club


Overview: Bude-Stratton Town Council has been approached by Bude North Cornwall Cricket Club in relation to decking being erected on the land adjacent to the pavilion on Summerleaze Downs, which is owned by Bude-Stratton Town Council.


The Council resolved to go to public consultation on the matter. Councillor Katie Goode said:

I believe it’s incredibly important that the public have a say and the area of the Downs is incredibly important to the town.

Use of the decking:

  • Seating and tables to enhance the viewing for spectators, club members and public.
  • The space under the decking will also be used to house two mobile pitch covers.

The consultation will be open until Monday 4th October.
