Police warn of Storm Freya in SW

Devon and Cornwall Police received a yellow weather warning for the whole south-west region for the period between 3 pm today, Sunday 3rd March and 6 am tomorrow the 4th.

Storm Freya may cause some travel disruption and possibly dangerous conditions later. Some damage to buildings and trees may occur (we have already had a tree down in East Devon). Police have been notified about possible high seas around East Devon and Dorset, with a specific warning for Dorset for Lyme Regis harbour, but the general weather warning concerns the entire peninsula.

Members of the public are urged to be very prudent, and not to put themselves at risk at coastal, beach or in rural areas.
