Paula resigns from the Lib Dems
Paula Dolphin, Cornwall Councillor, has announced her resignation from the Lib Dems over the plans to impose a 4.99% council tax rise. She is now an independent standalone councillor.She explains: “In order to properly represent the majority of my electors I need to take a different direction from the Lib Dems. I cannot accept a 4.99% council tax rise as people in my area are struggling to pay their bills and the biggest issues that the CAB has to deal with is dept and council tax arrears.I shall continue to fight and represent my area with all my strength and energy but I cannot support this tax rise”.
