The Beutons at Eden Cafe
Cornish four-piece, The Beutons, will be playing a show at the Eden Café in White River Place, St. Austell on Friday October 19. The band hail from Perranporth and have been playing together since last May.
Their sets include an eclectic mix of classic covers and upbeat originals, blending together indie, rock and roll and country, with a dash of R & B. Influenced by the likes of Bob Dylan, The Black Keys, The Coral and The La’s, the band’s simple aim is to get girls dancing. Just girls?
More Flooding Possible Next Week
The rain continues on and off and another yellow alert for rain in the area is in force, so it isn’t over yet. Localised flooding is expected by the Met Office in our area on Wednesday given heavy rain is expected and the ground is already saturated. On Thursday, Devon & Somerset Fire & Rescue Service received over 90 weather related calls. These including over 20 calls to vehicles in water, 29 calls involving domestic flooding, one horse rescue and further calls (including duplicate calls) to report flooding.
Bad News for British Gas Customers
Citizens Advice Chief Executive Gillian Guy said: “Many British Gas customers will find the price rise really frightening. Bill increases throw already stretched budgets into turmoil with people forced to find more ways to scrimp and save. But there are things that people can do to save money on their fuel bills.
