Recently, I asked about businesses who had survived Covid-19 and how they felt about re-opening on 12th April. This was one reply. Outdoor Adventure at Widemouth Bay unfortunately Outdoor ceased trading over winter; one of the many businesses that was affected by Covid:
The past year has been a difficult one to say the least, causing lots of complications and challenges. Unfortunately, this also included Outdoor Adventure, who sadly had to close during those winter months. However, with any type of news, there’s always some good to go alongside the bad! So, we’re happy to announce that a new business has been able to take over the location at Atlantic Court, Widemouth Bay, called OA Surf Club.
OA Surf Club is a Surf School with highly experienced instructors, delivering high quality, inspiring, surf lessons in Widemouth Bay, Cornwall, where we pride ourselves on our high safety standards, as well as the great waves for all abilities and the best water quality you can get in Cornwall. As Widemouth Bay is a blue flag holding beach, with a large car park, lifeguards and beach cafe, there’s all you need for an amazing day out at the beach!
As well as this, we run coasteering sessions at the beautiful Bossiney Bay, where this session is all about exploring the natural coastline. Whether it’s through climbing, jumping or swimming, we have it all here, and it’s definitely an adventure not to miss! You get taken to the more remote places of Cornwall, unearthing the beautiful coastline and crystal clear Cornish waters, where you’ll have the chance to explore untouched caves and swim through natural archways, as well as traversing over rock formations before taking the plunge for those awaited, adrenaline filled jumps.
Plus, we also have OA Stay at Atlantic Court, which sits on the North Cornish coast at Widemouth Bay, near Bude, which we have developed into our bed and breakfast accommodation, with all refurbished rooms, to ensure you have an enjoyable and comfortable stay with us.
We’re lucky enough to have a gorgeous cliffside location here, with a fire pit and multiple seating on our grass areas, which overlook the beautiful beaches surrounding Bude, the best place to sit and watch the sunset over the sea with a drink from our new refurbished ‘board riders bar’. As well as this, below the small football pitch at the bottom of our grounds, there leads a private path onto our beach in front of the building which also takes you directly onto the coastal path where you’ll find some beautiful walks and easy access to the surrounding beaches.
We’ll be running many more sessions this year, allowing you the opportunity to fit this into everyone’s busy Summer schedules. All our session times are now live on our website for you to check out.
So, if you’re looking to wash away those lockdown blues this Summer, why not come stay with us or have an adventurous and adrenaline filled day and book on a session today!
