Nadelik = Christmas in Cornish

And Bude has just the shop for it.

You have probably come across Neil and Neill, owners of Bude Bike Hire, before, but in the run up to Christmas they have set up a Christmas shop called Nadelik on the same premises near River Life/Bank. Today, I popped in the shop, which they plan to have every year, as a seasonal diversification. The shop opened on 12th November for all things Christmassy (but in a good way!) and is open daily from 10am – 5,30pm, except Sundays when they close at 4pm.

During year 1 of the shop, they are supplying Cornish Christmas cards, Cornish teddies, crackers, hand made in the UK,  Christmas trees to order (easy parking for collection) mistletoe (while stocks last), locally sourced fresh table decorations and hope to have more Cornish artisanal products in future years. They are not competing with the supermarkets, but they do have some lovely items, some rather vintage looking, and they even take card payments. Get a feel for the place from the slideshow….
