Officers from Devon and Cornwall Police’s Major Crime Investigation Team have launched a murder investigation following the death of a 22-year-old man from Plymouth.
He had been taken to Derriford Hospital, Plymouth following an incident at around 9.30 pm, Thursday 26 March, when he was found unconscious with a significant head injury. Unfortunately, he tragically died on the morning of Saturday 28th March.
A 37-year-old man was also taken to Derriford Hospital on Thursday evening where he is being treated for multiple injuries which are considered life-changing, possibly life-threatening. He has been arrested on suspicion of murder but, due to his injuries, remains in hospital receiving treatment.
A 29-year-old man from Gunnislake, who had been arrested on suspicion of murder, has now been released on Police bail. A further 26-year-old male from Callington has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and remains in police custody.
