From Devon & Cornwall Police:
At 14:51 Hrs on Saturday 16 June 2018, police were informed of a multi-vehicle collision on the A30 westbound carriageway just prior to Two Bridges, Polyphant, Launceston.
A vehicle had run into the rear of a tail-back which had occurred as a result of a broken down vehicle in the carriageway some distance further west.
A 48 year old man was taken to Derriford Hospital with suspected serious injuries but was later released. A total of seven vehicles were seriously damaged in the collision.
The road was closed for 7 hours for forensic collision investigation work and vehicle recovery.
