Motorcycle collision leaves man seriously injured

From Devon & Cornwall Police:

A rider was left with life-threatening injuries following a serious collision between two motorcycles on the A386 in Tavistock yesterday afternoon [31 July].

Emergency services were called at 2.55pm after the collision between the Triumph Bonneville and a BMW motorcycle outside The Trout and Tipple pub.

The rider of the Triumph, a 60-year-old man from Illogan, sustained serious injuries and was airlifted to Derriford Hospital in Plymouth.

The other motorcycle was being ridden by a German man who was on holiday in the area. He was also treated for minor injuries.

Officers from the Roads Policing Team are investigating the cause of the collision and are appealing for witnesses to contact them.
