Martin Dorey, Founder and CEO of internationally recognised eco-charity, The 2 Minute Foundation, has released a new children’s book aimed at encouraging the younger generation to live more eco-friendly lives.
Kids Fight Climate Change contains 60 missions for children aged between 7 – 10 years old. The tasks are focused on small actions individuals can take to make a big impact. Dorey encourages young people to become “2 Minute Super Heroes” and says “2 minutes is all it takes to fight climate change and make a difference.”
The book was originally scheduled for general release in August 2020, but has been delayed twice due to COVID. The release date was pushed back to March 2021, but has since been changed to July 2021. However, the charity have secured an exclusive, limited supply of the book! The pre-launch copies are available online from The 2 Minute Foundation’s Beach Clean Shop. Publishers Walker Books are donating 20p to the charity for every copy sold and the charity is using the profits from the sale of Kids Fight Climate Change to help keep beaches clean.
Author Martin Dorey said, “The book is perfect for kids who want to help save the world and are conscious of their environmental impact. It teaches children that you don’t need longer than 2 minutes to make a difference and there are loads of small, impactful changes they can make to their daily lives to help combat climate change.”
Dorey will also be donating a copy to all local primary schools to celebrate the launch and spread the message of fighting climate change amongst the younger generation.
