Man dies in Wadebridge collision

From Devon & Cornwall Police:

A man has died following a road traffic collision near Wadebridge, Cornwall.

Police were called to the A39 near Tregilders Farm at around 5.45 pm yesterday, Tuesday 31 March with reports that a car and a van had collided.

Numerous South Western Ambulance Service Trust resources attended the scene along with staff from Devon & Cornwall Fire and Rescue.

An elderly male sadly died at the scene and a 49-year-old male from the Sheffield area sustained upper body injuries, not thought to be life threatening

Local police officers, operations department officers and specialist officers from the Roads Policing Team attended the scene, closed the road and launched a full forensic examination.

Police would like to hear from witnesses or any drivers with dash camera footage, who didn’t talk to officers at the scene.
