  • Robinson says:

    Wonder how old he was?

    • Robert Wilcox says:

I’m not sure, maybe we’ll be able to find. He doesn’t look like a spring-chicken though, that’s for sure 🙂

  • ANDREW CLASH says:

47 he was born 1864 died 1944 it my wife’s great grandad

  • Cath says:

Andrew, are you sure? Thomas Yeo is my dad’s great uncle – but Thomas’s father was also called Thomas – and he was also a Town Crier. The chap in the photo looks older than 47 – so I think it’s the father not the son.
The photo has been used across the board on Ancestry, but it becomes a bit like Chinese whispers, and people just copy someone else’s entry. I’m convinced this is Thomas Yeo senior.

  • John says:

Yes for sure this is senior as junior Yeo was my grandad.

    • David Thorn says:

I have the glass negative used for this postcard. If you would like a quality print let me know. The photo was taken probably around 1928 to 1932 by Jake Harrison, one of the Thorn family photographers.
